It’s Nurse Practitioner Week!

We would like to honor Nurse Practitioners this week for all that these providers do on a daily basis. From providing life saving treatments to helping people at the end of their lives. They do it all.

National Nurse Practitioner week was created in 2014 by the AANP to celebrate these exceptional health care workers and to remind lawmakers of the need to remove outdated barriers that prevent NPs from practicing to the full extent of their education. It also gives us a chance to show love to the NPs in our lives! Visit AANP.org to learn more!

Meet Honaest’s NP:

Emily Holbrook, FNP-BC has been in the medical field for over 16 years. She started working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at age 16 in high school. Then she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Brenau University Nursing School. She continued her education by going to Nurse Practitioner school at South University and graduated with her Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2019.

As a Nurse she worked in Medical/Surgical, Trauma/Neuro ICU, and cardiac testing.

As a Nurse Practitioner she has worked for an Ear, Nose and Throat practice, Palliative and Hospice care, and is now performing aesthetic procedures.

“What sets NPs apart from other health care providers is their unique emphasis on the health and well-being of the whole person.”
